The Women’s World Chess Championship 2015 was held from 16 March to 7 April 2015 in Sochi, Russia as a 64-player knockout tournament.

Winner was the Ukrainian Mariya Muzychuk, seeded 8th who will defend her title in a 2016 match against Hou Yifan.
