Bobby Fischer was not a player to endulge in prophylactic chess. Players of such type attempt nothing constructive, but they intend to frustrate the opponent.
They are not creating new ideas and plan moves to carry out these ideas, but they merely defend and wait for a mistake and just try to spoil their opponents strategy in making prophylactic moves. Those players are not concerned in creating something beautiful in chess but only try to accumulate points.
Bobby was not like that, he loved the beauty of the game. He was similar to an artist who follows his strategic ideas to its logical conclusion like the old masters. He played classical chess and was not only a good strategist but his technique was excellent in the opening, middle-game and ending.
This famous game here is called: The game of the century. When Bobby was just 13 years old, he played this game against Grandmaster Donald Byrne. You will love it!
