The German chess genius Vincent Keymer (only ELO 2403 and 13 years old at the time) won the biggest open chess tournament of Europe, the GRENKE Chess Open 2018 in Karlsruhe with 8:1 points (no loss) and left 50 grandmasters behind him.
By Stefan64 (Own work)
Vincent Keymer was listed as number 99 and won against GM Rainer Buhmann (Elo 2588), GM Gabor Papp (Elo 2604) and GM Richard Rapport (Elo 2715) and achieved draws against GM Anton Korobow (Elo 2664) and IM Jean-Noel Riff (Elo 2503).
I consider him as a future world chess champion. It is just a matter of time.
